this recipe is one of our favorites! the nice thing about it is that you can make it over the stove or in the crockpot.
1-2 lbs. of stew meat
1 can of beef broth
1 can black beans, drained
1 can kidney beans(light or dark), drained
1- 16 oz jar of salsa (any kind)
1/2 cup Italian dressing (i usually use Kraft light zesty Italian)
1/2 large onion chopped
1 T chili power
rice (any amount you would like)
-In large saucepan or pot, brown stew meat and onion in Italian dressing on high for 5 minutes
-add beef broth, salsa, and chili powder
-bring to a boil
-reduce heat to med/low and cook for about 15-30 minutes
-drain beans and add to pot, cook for another 30 minutes(or until ready to serve) on med/low
- cook desired amount of rice
-serve chili over rice and enjoy!
