easy biscuit donuts

These are the easiest thing ever. They are SO good when served warm.

1 package grands biscuits (not the flaky ones)
1/2-3/4 cup oil (enough to fill your skillet/pan about 1/2 inch)
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup cinnamon sugar

Pour oil into deep pan/skillet and heat to med-high. Use knife to cut centers out of biscuits. Save centers for donut holes.

Using tongs, carefully place biscuits in hot oil (you can use one of the donut holes to check that your temperature is right). Depending on the size of your pan you will need to do a few batches. Turn donuts after 30-45 seconds or when lightly browned. The second side will cook quicker. When golden brown on both sides remove to a paper towel lined plate. Allow to cool slightly then dip in butter then cinnamon sugar. Serve immediately.

I've also made these glazed by dipping in a mixture of powdered sugar and water after frying.
