Chicken Sausage with Apples

1 lb Aidelles chicken and apple sausage sliced
1 T olive oil or butter
2 med onions cut into wedges
2 granny smith apples cut into slices
1-2 T brown sugar (I just grab a small handful)
1/8-1/4 C apple cider or juice

Brown sausage in large skillet with butter over med-high heat. Add onions and cook for 3 min. Add apples, brown sugar and cider. Stir well, scraping up browned bits from the bottom of pan. Cover and reduce heat to low. Cook 10-15 min until onions and apples are slightly soft. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
