lucy and i made fudge for some neighbors today. we love this recipe. it is so fast too! let the holiday baking begin :)
3 cups sugar
3/4 cup margarine
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 12-oz. (340 g) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 7-oz. (198 g) jar Kraft Marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine sugar, margarine and milk in heavy 2-1/2 quart saucepan; bring to full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring.
Remove from heat, stir in chocolate till melted.
Add marshmallow creme, nuts & vanilla beat till blended.
Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
Let cool and cut into 1-inch squares.
my mom makes this recipe every year! we love it! hmmm... now i better go make some!
ReplyDeleteKels we love this recipe too. We just get it off the back of the marshmallow creme jar, if that's what you do beware they changed it! It took me a second to figure out but this is the original recipe ( I found it on the Internet somewhere). The new one on the jar does not turn out as good, because it doesn't have you beat the creme in - it only directs you to stir it and it totally changes the texture! Just FYI :)
