We love Wingers but sadly there are none where we live. I came across this simple recipe and had to give it a try. The sauce tastes almost exact!
Wingers Amazing Sauce
1/3 c. Franks Hot Sauce
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. salt
Heat up hot sauce, brown sugar, water, and salt in a saucepot until all the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temp before adding to wings. The wings turn out best if you don't pour warm sauce over them. You want it nice and thick.
I halved this recipe and it made enough sauce to coat 3-4 servings of popcorn chicken. You could use the sauce on wings, grilled chicken, burgers, etc.
One night I had the popcorn chicken over salad with lettuce, shredded cheddar, croutons and ranch. I used the leftovers to make a quesedilla (what I always order at wingers). Both were SO easy and delicious!
